Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2008

Stone Lane Gardens were invited to exhibit in the NCCPG Plant Heritage marquee.
We displayed some of our National Collection of Birch trees, underplanted with Bob Taylor's National Collection of Astrantia. This was our first time at a major show and Bob was an enormous help with his experience of setting up a professional display. Our display is at Stand 15 in the Plant Heritage marquee (next to the Rose marquee). The Flower Show is on until Sunday 13th July.    Click here for more details.

To add to the excitement of this event, Monday 7th July saw the official opening of the Plant Heritage marquee by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall.

As the press looked on, the Duchess was shown round the displays of National Collections. Our manager Paul Bartlett was at the ceremony and he chatted for several minutes with Her Royal Highness.

"She was very friendly and easy to talk to. I was a bit nervous but she soon put me at my ease and was genuinely interested in the trees."
